Change of season means change in the closet. I already wrote about how to get a clean and tide-up wardrobe in a previous post. You can achieve a well-organized closet with a bit of care and time, and this makes a real difference: a nice and clean closet is the magic formula to keep your clothes clean as well.
Today's post is about how I organize my bags.

First of all, my philosophy for bags is "less is more" (btw, I'm thinking about a dedicated post for this topic). I must admit that I'm not that good when I buy shoes, but with purses I try not to overstock. Also because I'm not that kind of person that wears a different bag everyday, I'm a bit lazy and I wouldn't move all my stuff from a bag to another every time. In this period, I'm wearing Michael Kors' multifunction bag for the daytime/worktime and Max Mara's Ginevra bag for all other occasions, both in a cognac colour.

So, how can you store purses at best in your closet?
1. Choose a shelf or a portion of your wardrobe big enough (not too much anyway) where all your bags will stay. You can choose a bottom part of a hanging portion of the closet at these two conditions: clothes musn't touch the bottom, in fact there has to be room for your purses for real, otherwise you'll get a messy closet and lots of clothes to iron; second, having a nice and big spot to store your bags doesn't mean you can overstock them with no need.
2. When you purchase a new bag don't throw away dust-bags and paper, they are helpful friends. Everytime you put a purse in the closet, fill it with some paper (there's no need to fill it up completely) to preserve the original shape, then place it in its fabric cover to protect it from dust.

3. Use a big box for purses that need less care: clutches, fabric shopper or beauty cases. Actually, in this case, I think that a nice box is the best solution to store them properly, in fact they would be actually all messed-up in a dust bag.
4. You can keep outside your closet no more than two bags at the same time, otherwise all your efforts to keep them in place will be wasted. :-)

(For those who noticed that, the wardrobe is different from the one in previous posts because I moved into another house).
