I'm not a jewel-addicted, I own few pieces of jewellery and I don't wear them very often.

It might be cheap as well as expensive jewellery, I'm simply not attracted to them. But, as always, there are exceptions. And one of them is pearls.

Personalmente non mi considero un'amante dei gioielli, ne possiedo pochi e ne indosso ancora meno. Che si tratti di biogiotteria o gioielleria, non ne sono particolarmente attratta. Ma, come in tutte le cose, esistono le eccezioni. Una di queste sono le perle.

Earrings: they are the real must, stud and simple, big or small. They bright and frame nicely any type of face, and they are very easy to wear too. They are perfect for formal occasions as well as everyday outfits, they are very fine but at the same time have personality. There are many styles of earrings, more sophisticated and formal, but you can't fail with basics.

Necklace: it's like a red lipstick, you must feel confident to wear it properly. As time goes by, you could change its length or the number of rows, in fact you can simply adjust it according to trends of the moment. Pearl necklaces are never out of fashion, what it changes is how to wear them.

Gli orecchini: sono il vero must, a bottone, semplicissimi, non necessariamente piccoli. Illuminano e incorniciano il viso, e sono molto più versatili di quel che si pensa. Sono adatti sia per occasioni formali che per quelle più quotidiane, sono discreti ma al tempo stesso di carattere. Esistono anche versioni più elaborate e preziose, ma nulla può battere la versione basic.

La collana: è come un rossetto rosso, va saputa portare. Negli anni potrebbe modificare lunghezza e numero di giri, ma se si possiedono perle vere nulla vieta di poterla riadattare nel tempo. Pensateci, non ci sono stati decenni in cui le perle non fossero in voga, semplicemente è cambiato man mano il modo di indossarle.

I find pearls so facinating and they are a good investment, as well. Cultured pearls, freshwater pearls or fake pearls are a special friend for your closet. You'll never be disappointed and everyone'should own some piece, even if you'are not into jewellery like me.

Le perle per me hanno un fascino intramontabile, che siano semplici orecchini o una collana, è un investimento a lungo termine. Di mare, di fiume o finte, sono un alleato speciale che non dovrebbe mai mancare, anche per chi, come me, non è appassionato.
